Happy Birthday to Me!
I'm having homemade chocolate cake for breakfast, so no matter what, it's gonna be a good birfday. =) The cake comes from a nice Embassy family who had my sister and I over for Easter dinner yesterday. We felt like orphans being taken in for the day.
Our celebratory plans today include riding the tram around, eating more Easter leftovers, and going to see Inside Man at the cinema. We saw Ice Age 2 the other day, it was fun. We've also visited the zoo, an island fortress, a Greek restaurant, the local pub, and three stores. We've figured out the bus, tram, metro, AND ferry! We'll be hitting 3 museums in the next few days.
I am so, so happy Adrian is here to celebrate my birthday with me! It's a little crazy for her, since she's closing on her house in Lombard on the 27th and starting her new job May 1st, and she's all the way over here trying to coordinate last-minute details. But we've had some great giggle fits, so I hope she thinks it's worth it.
