I feel accomplished.
I did a good amount today, actually. Went to school, of course; turned in my last two papers before finals (yay!) Got back my film paper that he let me rewrite; I got an A! Which means YAY!
But more importantly, I got two big things done:
1) I registered for classes for the spring semester. And I got everything I needed, including the self-defense class I was hoping for. Not all of the teachers that I wanted, or the exact times, but it's still quite nice. 15 units, though. I'll be tired, but it'll be worth it. I'll be going from Monday through Thursday, with Friday off except for one class in midmorning. And I registered without anyone's help. Makes me proud of meself. I mean, I got advice from Solberg the Counselor, but other than that ... so yeah.
2) I got a job (essentially). I spent most of the afternoon after classes at AppleOne, a free employment agency. And it looks like it'll work out pretty well, as far as scheduling and good pay. Except I think that I made a mistake: I told Misty (the girl who interviewed me) that I wouldn't mind working in Administration. I misconstrued what "Administration" meant (yes, I know ... shuddup!). But I'm not sure if that's what my first job will be. Who knows ... I think I have a possible job tomorrow in the afternoon ... I'm supposed to call in the morning to find out the details. So ... yay job and money.
On another note, I went to the dentist/neighbor today. Turns out I do have upper wisdom teeth (we weren't sure before). We had this picture taken on a strange device. I had to put my chin up on this ladle, and bite down on a bar with a depression for my sets of teeth to fit in. the bar was covered with what looked like a mini-condom for sanitation (don't go too wild, Bill). Then I had to tilt my head forward slightly, and smile wide for about six seconds, while this strange humming camera with a thin slit or a lens swiveled around my head. On the other side, directly opposite, swivels a shield (presumably to catch the radiation coming out the other side of my head; I dunno). Twas a strange experience. But worthwhile, since I found out I had the 'buds' of some upper wisdom teeth. Not sure yet whether they'll need to be removed; might be high enough in the mouth.
Heh. I'm sure you're all glad to find out more about my dental history. apologies for any gross-outs; I just found that contraption particularly interesting.
Today is my dad's birthday, too. Which means spice cake is on the way. O happy day!
OK, time to get away from the computer; I'm getting a headache.
