I can't find a way to get it out of caps without re-typing, so I'm just going to put it behind a cut...

HI ALL!

I AM WRITING THIS LETTER BUT NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT! I AM SWALLOWING MY
PRIDE AND GOING FOR IT! AS MOST OF YOU KNOW, THERE IS A HUGE
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT HAPPENING OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOORS OF BIRDI'S.
WHILE WE HAVE BEEN WORKING AROUND IT PREVIOUSLY,.... IT IS NOW HAVING
AN IMPACT ON BUSINESS AT DANGEROUS LEVELS WITH THE NICE WEATHER. IT
IS NOT ONLY AFFECTING BIRDI'S, BUT ALL OF THE BUSINESSES ALONG THIS
NARROW ALLEY THAT HAS BEEN CREATED BY THE FENCE. ONE BUSINESS HAS
ALREADY HAD TO MOVE. OTHERS ARE FEARING GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. THIS
IS SERIOUS FOLKS!

I AM ASKING FOR THE HELP OF ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS, BUSINESS
ACQUAINTANCES, FRIENDS, AND ANYONE ELSE....

PLEASE HELP SUPPORT US UNTIL THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETED! PLEASE BRING
BUSINESS OUR WAY! WE ARE SMALL PRIVATELY-OWNED BUSINESSES THAT LIVE
DAY TO DAY! WHILE WE ARE BEGGING THE CITY, COUNTY, AND STATE
OFFICIALS FOR SOME HELP AND RELIEF, IT IS GOING TO BE A PROCESS! IT
IS GOING TO TAKE TIME THAT IS DEFINITELY OF THE ESSENCE! MEANWHILE,
WE NEED YOU!

PLEASE LET ANYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT OUR SITUATION! SEND THEM THIS WAY!
WE NEED CUSTOMERS ON A DAILY BASIS! THE BIGGER THE RESPONSE, THE
BETTER!

RESTAURANTS INVOLVED ARE BIRDI'S, SAGE, SUSHI AVENUE, AND SIAM. WE
ARE ALL LOCATED ON SYCAMORE STREET IN DECATUR!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT! ONCE THIS PROJECT IS DONE, WE
SHOULD BE BACK ON OUR FEET AND ENJOYING A BEAUTIFULLY NEW SQUARE!
UNTIL THEN, WE ARE DESPARATE!

Basically, what I'd wondered about for the last year is coming true-- those huge fences in front of Birdi's, Siam, Sushi Avenue, and Sage are depleting the customer flow in those restaurants, and apparently some are ready to declare bankruptcy SO...

If you live in Decatur and you go out to dinner, go to one of these restaurants and help them make it through. All of these places are restaurants nobody thought would make it (believe me, I worked at one of them for five years) and time after time they've come back to win again, so let's make sure these AMAZING restaurants don't disappear because the city can't find a better way to block off construction.

the end.
