So, I keep not updating my journal because I'm incredibly lazy. But, I felt I should update it today because it is a most excellent and joyous day, indeed!
Part of the reason today is so great is because the weekend was groovasciously bitchin!
On Friday night, I went to Karaoke with the Brandeis University peeps, aka "The Jew Crew." We drank a most excellent amount of Boozahol, sang some far out tunes, and then departed from that location, only to re-meet back at the school to form Dance Party 2006! Also making an appearance that evening was Steven Lynch's "The Gay Song," which is way more hilarious when you're drunk than it should be (especially after the quad-zillionth time).
Saturday was a joyous day indeed, because it consisted of me sitting around and doing practically nothing. Then, to break up the monotony of that, me and O'Brien decided it would be a good idea to play video games and continue sitting around doing nothing. That got broken up quickly by a phone call from J-Bricks, aka Jenn. She was returning a return phone call I had made to her after she returned my drunk dial from the previous night. Apparently I had "woken her up at quarter of 3 in the morning" so she attempted to "wake me up at 8 in the morning." She had succeeded, but I didn't care, because it had been quite some time since I had seen any ninjas, and in my life, that's quite an occassion to be joyous about. So anyways, by the time the latest return phonecall in question had occurred, it was about 6:30 pm. She wanted to know if me and O'Brien wanted to go to Nashua, NH to meet one her friends who worked at hooters.
Now, she was surprised when I said, without hesitation, yes.
Let's examine the facts here, people.
1. Random adventure instead of sitting around.
2. To Hooters.
3. To meet a girl who was friends of a friend.
4. That works AT HOOTERS.
Damn, my alcoholic college buddies didn't raise no fool!
So, that was just a ridiculous time in itself.
The next day I arose at approx. 6:30 am (after having only slept for about an hour or so) to go snowboarding with sweet extremeness. So, me and O'Brien drove back up to NH and got that going. By the time I had gotten home, it was now 6pm, and I was all tuckered out. I decided to take a short nap - which lasted about 13 hours. That's some intensely deep sleep, by the way, in case you haven't had a chance to sleep that long. I got so much sleep that I figured out how to fix a programming problem with a website I'd been working on at the office. That's right, after a weekend of drinking and stupid non-education I learned something new... in my sleep.
So, that was my weekend in a nutshell. Other random things happened... such as getting lost to a place I could get to with my eyes closed because I was actually paying attention to a girl I was talking to on the phone (will wonders never cease?!) and completely and utterly breaking my piano with even extremer than extreme prejudice this time.
Now, just the awesomeness of the weekend isn't the reason that today is so great. Today is great because TODAY IS THE DAY OF THE PIANO (2006)!
The piano tuney/fixy guy came to fix my piano whilst I was at work (which is sweetness), and, for the grand finale... THE BILLY JOEL CONCERT IS TONIGHT!
Need I say more?
I thought not.
