At ease for the first time.
She held my soul and she let my heart heal.
I am always just doing my best at any given time.
Sometimes I don't measure up, but I when I fall short I sincerely appologize.
I always care about who I am, I just think I need more mirrors where I live.
Swiftly I ride my bike, pedaling at a much slower pace;
Steady and slow, steady and slow, steady and slow.
Slow and steady respectfully wins the race.
Deeper and deeper my love for you is sinking.
The thought of breathing air hurts down here.
I suppose the test drive in, two; the mountains went awry but God's airbag hand saved my life.
Laying there so close to death after I rolled out of the car onto the cold mountain ground; laying on the side of the highway I looked at the city below where the mountain had been cut off and thought of how beautiful She looked all lit up at night. The city she loves me tonight.
And then I surface gasping for breaths of air again.
I'm never coming up that short again.
Slow and steady is the race that I'll win.
