Cosplay Updates
It's been awhile since I've talked about my cosplay projects and boy have I done a lot. It seems every weekend is a sewing project. Which is kinda nice as I've finished things that I've been putting off for a long time.
First, I'll talk about Jessica from True Blood. I quickly put this together and bought all of it. I always felt I resembled her but didn't see how I could do a cosplay that would be recognizable. Then I saw season three where she starts working at Merlotte's. I get a ton of pictures at cons because people aren't used to seeing cosplays of True Blood. Although I'm often mistaken for Sookie.
After seeing Sucker Punch I immediately decided to cosplay Baby Doll. I had the urge to do so before but I wanted to make sure the movie was good before doing so. Although at the moment it isn't too flattering on me. With fall and winter approaching it's going to be shelved due to weather. I'm going to try losing some weight so I look better.
Like with Baby Doll, I decided to do a Black Butler cosplay after only seeing one episode. Ciel has a ton of outfits so I had several to choose from. Eventually I decided to do his newsboy outfit as it was simple and not done much.
After seeing more of the series, I decided to do Alois as well. He isn't introduced until season two and honestly doesn't get enough love. He is probably the most interesting character. It's not really complete as I don't have the jacket. I tried making it but I failed miserably. Now I plan to buy it from CosplayFu just for the jacket. I plan to use the vest I made.
After falling in love with lolita fashion, I decided to do a lolita version of Luna Lovegood. Hogwarts lolita is quite popular. I also want to do a lolita Pikachu.
I'm finally getting around to Children's Day Hungary. I finished the vest this weekend. Now I need to get my mom to help me finish my skirt and wait for my wig to arrive. I'm also on a hunt for a toy frying pan.
Other plans include a kimono version of Alois which I'm commissioning and choir boy Ciel. I might make the latter if I find workable patterns.
