.: what about your friends? :.

It's time to wipe the dust off the journal and start writing again.

My weekend was eventful, somewhat, but then again, it was just a typical Candace weekend; so I really don't know what to call it.

Thursday was drinking with my roommates, as was Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday we went to a party off 7th Street with David, which was really more of a drug deal, but he made it sound like we were going to a party. Then back to the Zeta Psi house to hang out. I played pool. All in all, the night really was uneventful. Oh yeah, when we got home we sat on the kitchen floor and ate macaroni and cheese and fishsticks; drunken actions are fun.

Saturday we painted the wall. It is called "Stadium Red", which is really more of a ruby red I think, but Ralph Lauren obviously thinks otherwise. Anywho, we painted then went thrift store shopping for the night ahead of us.

The Zeta Psi's were having a "white trash party", hence the thrift store shopping. We all sported pretty much the same outfit; dirty white t-shirts, torn up jeans, a plaid shirt tied around our waist, and a trucker hat. Oh yeah, and a 40 in a paper bag. It was lots of fun, too much fun almost.

Sunday the Friends [side note: the "Friends" are the building 10 kids - Me (Monica), Claudia (Phoebe), Alisha (Rachel), Jason (Joey), Fernando (Ross) and Sammy (Chandler)] were planning on just getting some beer and watching the game; nothing too fancy. Right. Getting "some" beer ended up as a keg of Bug Light, and "nothing too fancy" ended up with fajitas, queso, guacamole, pico, wings, cake, and shrimp.

And here's the most shocking news: MIGUEL ACTUALLY CAME TO VISIT ME. Not only did he come to visit me, he did a lot of work to do it, hah. He left Ben's house (Ben lives at 620 and 183, about 30 minutes away) and brought Ben with him, and in the middle of the 4th quarter Ben wanted to go home, so he took Ben home, then about an hour and a half later, he came BACK to see me. Hah. That was so cool. I had no problem driving to see him last night, but he shouldn't expect that I will do it again tonight; if he wants to see me, he will have to drive to ME. This new found independence stems from a lot of things, but most of all, it comes from me just loving my roommates that much.

I really do love my roommates. I can laugh just thinking about stuff we've done and said; it's really good times.

There was a small incident with a chicken with no head at the party, and Alisha got, well, a little (a LOT) freaked out by what was happening.

Claudia: "Alisha, where do you think they get that phrase 'chicken without a head'?"
Alisha: "Yeah, you're right, that makes sense now."
