'late' news...

Well, its late in that I should have put it here after last Sunday nite..

Anyways, last Saturday nite was yet another jolly fun gathering down at the Pit and Pendulum, Notts, for yet another great 'Wake' -
pvc_kitten You are doing a DAMN FINE JOB!!!

Of course, the whole evening was dominated by Lordi's appearance, and subsequent trouncing of the opposition at Eurovision. Bucking Frilliant!! How Victorious we all felt - the UK's entry was shit in extremis, but twas better still that the UK gave Lordi a full 12 points - any less would have been a matter for the Eurpoean court of Human Rights...

Then on to Sunday, where My lovelies
Lady_tempesta and
Cyberstripe (who'd offered Me 'refuge' post-Wake at their super pad) took Me for food and drink at the Old Angel  - for Steak lovers, they do a 12oz-er , with chips and salad for around £5, aswell as nice veggie brekkie type things for a modest price. The Old Angel is a very punk/alternative pub/venue in Hockley, Notts, and on this particular occasion, had a fair smattering of punks (young and old), Gothy-types, skatery types, and even those of none of the aformentioned  'persausions'...

Later, we traversed the M1 for a trip to sheffield to witness Apoptygma Berzerk at the Corporation. Support 'slotters' Seize did rather well, and were met with mild appreciation by the Apop-biased crowd.
'Apop' (as the singer even calls them - maybe theyll eventually be called Apop 'officially'.....) played a great show. pure and simple. I could see them on an NEC or similar sized stage, and theyd have done just as well, if not better - Im sure theyd look great in a 'full production' set. The sound and lights at the Corp were great, but it seemed like the guitarist was working hard for nothing, seeing as I could hardly hear him playing the neat solo's he looked like he was playing. In fact, all the chaps in 'Apop' know their stuff. The drummer, sat behind a most 'minimal' silver glittery Premier kit played a blinder, and a smile wasnt far from his face all night. The samples/keyboard man was doing good things too, and the singer hardly stood on the spot for any length of time - a bigger stage would have suited him particularly well...And they played TWO encores...

Anyways, the Suzuki GSXR600K6 is in My sights.......

Have a great  (bank holiday) weekend everyone...

And its BlueSilver at  Cabaret in Notts on Sat nite... C U there??

; )
