Well, we made it. Erin and I took off from my parent's house on Monday, March 18th and spent the next 5 days roadtripping across the U.S. We made it to Pasadena, California in one safe and sound piece. We took the first 10 days and rented a spare bedroom from a couple through using AirBnB.com (if your traveling and need someplace to stay on the cheap with typically very friendly people then I cannot reccomend AirBnB more). We took this 10 days and searched and searched ... and searched for a new place to live, with 0 luck. On the last day we were to stay with the couple we stumbled upon a nearly perfect place in a totally perfect location.
So, by a stroke of dumb luck we found a landlord that was totally was totally cool with our crazy situation (mostly including having savings but no income) and willing to sign the lease paperwork that evening. And thus, we have a place. I'll post some pictures of the apartment tomorrow. It is two stories, which is really nice. It makes it really feel a lot bugger than it actually is and much more like a home than a cheap apartment.
The next struggle was that our stuff wasn't going to show up for about 2 weeks. So we spent the time sleeping on the floor. To make it feel more fun we set up our tent in our bedroom and slept inside of it.
Than's all for now, but more exciting news to come soon!
