Anyway...so we had to write this stupid shit about our hero! for english...and i can't pick one...but i wrote this one...tell me what you guys think

The Pearl

Once upon a time
there lived a little girl
whose mother bestowed upon her
a befitting little pearl.

This pearl was not a birthstone
not a pendant or a ring
this pearl was one of wisdom
and to her it meant everything.

For this pearl was worth something
worth a lifetime and regret
and this pearl was passed on
to the girl who could not forget.

Her mother told her something
that stuck in her mind that day
her mother told her to always
believe in what she had to say.

Always be self sufficient
her mother would often say
be the best you can
and you'll have more than me one day.

The girl listened to her mother
wondering what could be so bad
that her mother would want better
for her daughter than she'd had.

One day her mother told her
my life is not so bad as it seems
I only want the best for you
I want you to reach your dreams.

Her mother was slightly toughened
by her background and her past
and the girl decided then and there
that her mother was unsurpassed.

Batman and superman
were immitation heros
her mother was the real deal
and the rest were merely zeros.

The girl's mother gave her something
more important than jewlery or toys
she gave her a pearl of wisdom
that told her she didn't need boys.

But that was not the only knowledge
contained within that pearl
there were many more lessons
that her mother taught the little girl.

For that she is grateful
and for that she is alive
and for that she will always value
the words her mother would contrive.

My mother is my hero
not because she saved the world
but because of the love and values
that she gave me with that pearl.
