I'm guess most people did what I did this morning, woke up...looked out the window...contemplated going back to sleep to wake up from this nightmare. September 9th, and we have snow...and not a little bit of snow, a lot of snow. I almost cried this morning when I looked at the trees that Stephen, my dad and I had spent a whole day planting earlier this summer...they're all bent and looking pretty sad. Our backyard only looks worse. It looks like some horrible tornado ripped through our back yard, leaving behind white fluffy stuff...all of our trees that were coming back over the kennels are now on the ground. The maple tree looks like a giant mushroom... the big huge whatever they are...have branches broken everywhere. There's a large section that broke off and fell over the fence too. My dad and I were both worried that the tree that was hit a couple years ago by strong winds would break. There's three trees, and a couple years ago we got a wicked wind storm and the middle one broke in three different places, falling in three different places. Either the other tree got hit by the same wind or the force of the other one falling on it cracked it, but regardless the tree is pretty much split up the middle. And these aren't little trees... they probably 40 or 50 feet high, probably higher.
Blah I'm just depressed. My dad is taking pictures now and I think I'll take some of campus today, then post them. We're getting some weird weather this year... anyone else starting to feel like they're living in a movie?
