k who ever the fuck said that is exactly what is wrong with the world. You sit there and you are complacent with the way things are, and willing to settle for the little things you mentioned. Fuck you, fuck your family, fuck your boyfriend, and fuck your mundane paisley life. Take your content ass to whatever future child dress contests a la jean bennet ramsey(sp), sip on your martini and slowly die from the inside out, you wanna be bush republican. I hope who ever said that reads this.
Id rather be a punk/indie/goth or any other fucking subculture than sit there like a fat happy sucker.
you'll find i can be very outspoken when it comes to things like this. I love destroying overt culture paradigms, and ripping apart the people who think they are good enough to contend with me from those perspectives. Not everyone, but mainly the asinine ones. If i ever got on Mtv they'd need ot gag me.
First of all, while complacentcy is self-destructive, so is being punk/indie/whatthefuckever just so you're not complacent. Both you and this Raven chick are two sides of the same coin... she's just funnier about it. I'm sick of seeing kids that think they're unique because they have bracelets that could puncture my skin while they really grew up in suburbia next door to a football player; and I'm sick of seeing content-ass thong sandle wearing couples who never even yearn to change anything around them, vote for Bush because their frat tells them to, and drink their lives away in contentment.
Having a clean room, money, a car, a job, a family who loves me and a boyfriend who keeps me content is awesome, but it's not enough, not when 90% of the world is crawling with morons, why add to that population? I have all those things, well, not so much money and the family isn't all that loving, but you get the drift, I could be happy with just that, but I'm not; I want to change the world still, I want to at least be remembered for trying
for the rest of the world that has excepted the fact that everyone who has ever been born EVER feels deep down inside that they have some sort of unique destiny to change the world..... really doesn't.
this is the problem. Raven suffers from the same problem the Punk kid does. She hates her life, hates that she isn't special, hates that she is only a face in the crowd and doomed to mediocrity. The differnece between her and him, is that she has thrown that emotion out and become complacent. She lets the shoulds and shouldn'ts of the world take her over and would rather be ignorant and in bliss. It's obvious by this statement. I am special, i will change the world and i will do it my way, i am my own value and virtue not what has come before.

guess I could let that bother me but I know she is wrong. and perhaps the kid changed his attire for his parents because they do not approve. There is always another side to the story...
