I didn't realize it was possible for a woman to be 'unusually' irritable

Yesterday was coasting along just fine and then the universe decided to do a 180 and the day ended shitty. Real, real shitty, for reasons I don't care to explain here because it happened yesterday and is, therefore, in the past. Game over. I only bring up yesterday because it sets the stage for

Wasn't that a little, clever, technological trick?

Anyway, I've found that roughly 93.56% of the time someone goes to bed in a shitty mood, they're going to wake up in a shitty mood.

This morning I woke up in a shitty mood. My alarm is blaring, but I don't want to get out of bed. Even though I'm under a mountain of blankets and my window has been closed all night, I just know it's going to be bloody cold, and the second I leave my cozy cocoon I'm gonna be in full-on bitch mood. I just feel it. So I finally consent to getting up, and it's cold. So i'm scrambling to turn off my alarm, throw my covers in some logical sort of arrangement on my bed, and gather my shower things, all while doing the 'I gotta pee dance' (liek, TMI!) in my forty degree room. I get dressed, and do my hair. My hair has decided to look vaguely psychotic, the front is smooth except for two small chunks that are flipped out instead of in, the back spiked out in a most unflattering manner, and there's a weird bunch up near my ears. I go down to breakfast, unenthusiastically eat my cereal and banana nut muffin, and go to French.

French, a recap:
Class, class, class, busy work, class, I say something stupid and wrong.
AHAHAHAHHHHAHHHHAHAAAA!!!
Umm... thanks? Shut up, like, NOW
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaha....ha...ha...ha
Self-esteem, shrinking

After French I stormed off to the library. I spent about an hour on French homework, but that's okay it was interesting. Then I read for my mass media class.

After the library, I went to the post office in the union because I needed a box. I needed a box because I need to send my other glasses back home. I need to send my other glasses back home because For Eyes fucked up and melted my lens while adjusting the nose piece. The line at the post office is ridiculously long, so I left.

(Time passes)

I go back to the post office. Line is much shorter. I fill out an address form and stand in line. 'Hi, I need a box because I need to send these (hold up glasses case).' 'Here's your bo..NEXT!' (get shoved aside by someone in desperate need of two-cent stamps) I got one of those boxes you need to fold up yourself sans instructions. There is no counter space so I'm attempting to assemble the box in mid-air, pressing myself against a wall. After the box is assembled, I go looking for newspaper for packing material. I go half-way up the stairs, realize I've completely passed the newspaper, go back down the stairs, and grab a newspaper. Counter space has opened up. I grab it like it's oxygen, pack up the box, and ship it.

Packing up the box and shipping, a recap:
Glasses case: in
Newspaper: in
The box: EXPLODES
I: reassemble the box
The box: EXPLODES
I: reassemble the box and shove the things in while holding the sides.
I: stand in line
*a year passes*
Post Office Person: 'Hi'
Me: 'I need tape.'
Post Office Person: 'These sides hold really well.'
Me: 'It totally just exploded, I need tape.'
I: exhibit total incompetence with tape dispenser.
*package is shipped*

I came back to the dorm and went to lunch, about 30 minutes before I had to leave for my class. Apparently everyone on campus wanted to eat at the cafeteria today. The main entree line was backed up to the salad bar, the salad bar line was backed up to the trays, and the tray line was backed up to the entrance. The more pressed-for-time people made a bee-line for the cereal.

The milk dispensers, a recap:
Skim 1: drip, drip, empty
Skim 2: drip, empty
Skim 3: dr...ip, empty
2% (ew): works fine

The dining area was so crowded, that anywhere you sat, you were sitting next to somebody.

Class was fine.

Now I'm here, making this post and NOT practicing the violin because, I? Couldn't care less.

I also have orchestra later, whatever.
