Long awaited update on life..

May 14, 2006 15:17

This will probably be shorter then it should be because any moment I decide to update my LJ I feel really motivated to do so, but then moment I start updating I lose any and all motivation. I haven't posted in a while because my family has been in for a long weekend for graduation and I've basically just been really, really busy. This is actually the first time other then when I'm sleeping that I've been home by myself since about Thursday. I haven't eaten or made an actual meal at my house since Wednesday. It's been crazy. My mom, dad and sister Shelly got in on Thursday night around 6:30 or so. I picked them up from the airport and from there we went to Biaggi's (a Italian place in town) to have dinner. Jolynn met us there and we had dinner and the whole shebang. I think we may have gone back to my house after that, but I can't quite remember. Well anyway, my brother Jeremy and other sister Steph came in that same day around 10PM and we ended up at the hotel and hung out there from what I remember correctly, haha. Friday I woke up and my mom and two sister's came over and we went shopping...for 3 hours...in one store. It was pretty freakin' crazy. We shopped while my brother and dad did their thing, came home for some leftovers for lunch then went and had dinner at Flat Top Grill around 5:30 or so. After dinner we went straight to the movie theater to see Mission Impossible III then back to my house and hung out for a bit. After that we went back to the hotel and hung out in the bar for a while. I had my first drinks with the family. Hahaha, it was fun. I also found out that I'm going to be an aunt x2 this weekend. My sister in law and my sister are both pregnant and due around Christmas. This is going to me an aunt x10 when all is said and done. My grandma and step grandpa got in late Friday night and then on Saturday morning we went to breakfast and finally met up with my aunt and uncle and two cousins. After that it was off to graduation. Graduation was boring, as usual, but it's good to have it all over with. After graduation we headed to the school and I showed everyone around, then we went to eat at yet another restaurant Flannagan's. It was good and we were there for a good 2 hours. My brother attempted to find a beer that I might enjoy, but alas, failed again. I think I've really determined that when it comes to alcohol I only like mixed drinks. I really don't like beer or wine. They both taste like crap to me. :P We went over to where my aunt and uncle were staying (a friend of my aunt's) and hung out there for a while and played ping pong, pool, pinball and just hung out. It was a good time and an exhausting weekend for the most part. My aunt, uncle, cousins, mom, dad and sister left this morning and my brother and other sister left this afternoon so I'm left here in Ft. Wayne with my grandma and step grandpa who will be leaving tomorrow morning. Phew, yea, it was a really long and hectic weekend, but it was a lot of fun and was great to finally show all my family where I've been for the past 4 years. Tomorrow morning the rest of them are gone and then I'm leaving at 6AM on Tuesday morning to head to Washington for 1.5 weeks or so. Crazy, crazy, crazy...it's been fun and I'm excited to head home for a while to relax. I'm stoked because CJ is coming to visit me for about a week and it'll be her first time on the west coast. Prepare for a culture shock CJ! I can't wait to see your face when you see where I live. Hahahaha, Seattle won't be a huge surprise, but my house and my town will definitely be a big change from what you're used to. :)

So that's about it. I'm a college graduate completely now. I'm done. It's scary and I need to get a job here soon, but we won't get into that too much or else my stress level is going to go through the roof and honestly, I don't need that right now. I just want to relax and enjoy myself for a little bit longer.

And yes, I am listening to the Ashley Parker Angel album and honestly, it's not THAT bad. He's seemed to sort of straddle himself on the line of "pop" and the "scene"
