I saw a question posted on Yahoo! about how no one takes the Oscars seriously anymore. To be honest, taking anything like that seriously is a mistake. I think I've posted before about how fame is all relative. I don't think anyone takes things like that seriously unless they're involved somehow. Just like how no one in New York cares what's going on in Richwood during Springenfest, but to Richwood, it's a big deal. They're not involved.
I think it still holds weight, so long as tradition is followed. I hope they don's suddenly go casual or something. There are some things that are worth dressing up for.
I also wanted to say that I think it sucks that CD sales are down so much. I have a music phone and an mp3 player, but I still prefer my CDs when push comes to shove. Both phones and music players need to be charged. With a CD, all you have to do is pop it into a player! Plus, if you ever lose your music files, you have backup.
Also, buying the whole CD boosts sales for bands which means you get to hear more of them. If you like a band, don't just buy one song or get the merch, buy the CD people!!
PS: I bought my Rock On The Range tickets!!!
I don't want to get too heavy but I wanted to share.
