I never understand the news

I've never fully understood why some things are classified to have news value and others not. No surprise, I don't watch TV news, and I don't listen to radio news either. It's all net and from a selection of news online.

Why are we supposed to care when something happens to the famous people? Why is it news around the world when Britney Spears crashes her car? And on the same time thousands of people closer to you die but they are refered only as "three died in a car accident on road xyz this morning."

You would think that Ms Moss can afford to buy again everything in her luggage compared to an average income you...

And what an earth is this rant about being against pro-suicide websites? One's got to be without any brain activity to suicide onself after reading on some webpage that suicide is as trendy now as being bisexual. You would think that people suicide for other reasons than reading from websites that it's the new emo to die. Well, if it is, at least it helps to maintain a bit more sanity in the gene pool.

rants, links, news
