Another poem by Andre Ball

Once again not a perfect one but something I'm working on:

The sun is out, and the birds are chirping

Like the spring, my life is in full bloom

Everything seems to be going my way,

Thought that this goodness would never end soon

Then suddenly coming from behind me

That familiar feeling of hurt and pain

Comes over me just like dark clouds

And the sunshine is replaced with rain

It doesn't just rain, but snows

My heart feels the chill once more

The happiness is gone again

And once again, I'm laying on the floor

I reach out and plead to God

"Why can't anythng be right?"

And as if God didn't hesitate to answer

I look forward and see into a narrow light

In this light was a flower, untouched by the darkness

And it's petals unharmed by the snow

And I knew it's meaning as soon as I found it

That God had given me some hope
