I saw an ad on Boston's craigslist about a receptionist job for Harmonix Music Systems, which created the video game Rock Band. Naturally, I went to their website to apply. As I was filling out the application I immediately picked up on the laid back approach they were taking (asking for my blog url, and personal website). Then, I got to the very bottom where I found these questions (and here are my answers):
Q- Tell us about a time when you were challenged by juggling multiple projects. How did you resolve the situation?
A- I currently (/temporarily) am working as a barista at a coffee shop. Every single day is a multiple project challenge type day. I'm dealing with making drinks, brewing coffee, assisting any needs a customer has, attempting to make rent with my tips, and not pass out from a lack of personal caffeine withdrawl.
Q- Ninjas or Pirates?
A- Pirates, DUH.
Q- Beatles or Stones?
A- The Beatles on most days. While I enjoy the Rolling Stones, I don't enjoy their later work in any way, shape, or form. At least The Beatles stopped while they were ahead. But if you were going to ask Beatles, Stones, or Beach Boys I'd go with Brian Wilson ANY day.
