[[ Action Post ]][Occasionally you might see a glance, a purple movement that is no longer there: Euphrosyne is prowling around the school dormitories and what not, getting a feel for the campus and its inhabitants. If The Original One is here, if so many gods and monsters come here to learn, she is going to find out what makes Smash so special ( Read more... )

[Euphrosyne pauses at the soda machine, something prickling on the psychic radar. A sniff of the nose. Hey, something is indeed up there! She is unsure if she wants to disturb the napper though, if out of courtesy. Not many things enjoy random mental intrusions, after all.]

[Excellent manners, Euphie, but an intrusion might be for the best; he's rolled over in his sleep, leaving half of him dangling precariously over the edge of the machine, and he's slowly sliding towards a fall.]

[Well, that is another story! Euphrosyne can't catch many things if they fell over, and her telekinesis is something left to be desired, so she might have to settle for an intrusion instead, blasting the slipping pokemon with a sensation akin to the shock of cold water to the face.]

[Perhaps not as shocking as intended, as this particular Pokemon's habitat of choice happens to be submerged in cold water, but certainly enough to nudge him out of his catnap. Just in the nick of time, too. He topples off the brink, but catches himself in midair, with little more than the tips of his tails brushing against the floor below.

Uxie rubs a flipper over his eyes, lifting his head blearily. If Euphrosyne's in the mood to keep a close third eye on this creature, she might have picked up on a drastic change in the nature of the thought surrounding him. Externally, he still appears dazed and half-awake, but there's a sharp, crisp focus to his mind -- already he's inquisitive, carefully studying this newcomer.]

Ah... was that your doing? Thank you for waking me up. Goodness, I hadn't even realized I'd drifted off.

[Whew! Euphrosyne steps back, ready to "catch" this different pokemon before it met the floor. It is an unusual creature; she can't really read it nor its nature other than its comfort with the sensation blast. The pokemon knows how to protect itself against such, it seems. However, with what she can sense, she can feel its thoughts. It is in an espeon's second nature to detect these sorts of changes, be it air or, in this specimen's case, the mind.

She projects the other scenario of the pokemon hitting the ground with an overtone of avoidance and prevention.]

[Uxie's more interested in the nature of the response than the content, it seems. That curiousity only grows, bringing a vague smile to his sleepy face.]

You're awfully kind, but there's nothing to worry about, dear creature.

[He raises both flippers, patting the yellow crest over his head.]

I brought a helmet.

[Was that laughter? It was a sort of mirthful pleasure associated with laughter projecting from the espeon. It might have physically manifested as a wiggle of the ears.

The espeon never met this pokemon before, although there seemed to be something quite special about it as well (she could not figure it out, quite yet), but she introduced herself with her name: The joy of the warmth of the sunlight on her back on a beautiful noon day. She finished with an image of her purple body curled around her trainer, Red's, leg.]

[A fascinating way to communicate, that. Not as precise as spoken language, and yet in other ways, it conveyed the message far better than mere words ever could.

That image was an excellent catalyst. Thoughts rippled to life as though Euphie's response had been a stone skipping over still waters -- never lingering on one for long, but each spreading out further and further. Images were few and far between -- he'd never been to Kanto in person -- but news reports and statistics bubbled into his head. The gossip of a far-off Golbat, speaking with equal parts awe and fear. A Nidoking's anguished roar. A vague notion of a gilded room and a collapsed Dragonite -- more imagination than eyewitness account. The frigid embrace of a howling winter wind.

A flicker of familiarity. Some quiet corner of his mind had made the connection between an unknown, far-off peak, Lake Acuity, and Mt. Coronet. With the connection came subtle stirrings of comfort, reminders of his family -- of kindred spirits.]

My... I'm in the presence of someone quite special, aren't I? My name is Uxie. It's wonderful to meet you.
