[1] Noting Discrepancies

Alright, so I give up. I haven't found any evidence that this is an illusion, so I can only assume this is real. That being said, I can also assume that whoever is in charge here is fairly powerful. They can pull people from different times ( Read more... )

Different times, dimensions, death. I'd say they were pretty powerful, yeah.

Indeed. So do you have anything useful to add or are you just going to restate the obvious with that hint of sarcasm?

Hey, I know as much as you, Sweetheart. Sorry.

...Sorry. I'm just on edge. And don't call me sweetheart.

I have not found anything as yet -

But whoever has done this has clearly set this up to make finding such difficult. I am sure it is possible to find such, but doubt that it will be easy or come quickly.

I would think that testing the different times would be easiest with those from versions of the same world but different times - such as seeing if Sebastian, for example, deals as well with technology invented after the date he claims as someone from a time period where it would be familiar, or comparing in detail if there are people from another case of same or similar world but different times.

Also, had you said you were a medic before?
I seem to be having difficulties with my hand, and am not sure how to fix it.

I'm unsure if there is a good method of testing such thing, time-wise, in my case. I'm the one from the future after all and it's hard to figure out whether he's really from my world or not. Matt suggested alternate worlds for alternate time lines but that seemed very far fetched.

I am. How on earth did someone injure themselves already? I thought you got shocked if you did so. Oh well. What room are you in? I'll see what I can get from the machines and be over soon.

Comparing events would be the way to tell if you were from the same world, and would be a start. It seems there may be cases of alternate worlds, going by the case of the versions of my world; in my Tokyo, there was an attack of sorts that caused a flood that nearly destroyed the city, while such a thing did not happen for Matt, who is from a similar time period as myself.

The shocks, apparently have to do with attempts at injuring someone else; they do not trigger on self-inflicted injury, it seems. I bit my hand and did not anticipate how much trouble it would cause.
I am in 1B.

....How on earth did you not realize how much trouble it would-

Oh. You're one of those non-humans I keep hearing about. Great. I'll be over shortly.

And I already know the events up to his time are the same, but there are 3 years unaccounted for that we can't actually find out either way. He doesn't know what happens next to compare.

I want to know why they waited three years before they took you.

Well if they're really trying to start some Peace Corps, I'm far more useful now than I was then.

I would be stronger in three years' time too.

Perhaps sullen hostility was more appealing to them than outright hatred that never quite gets to your face?

I digress. You are. But that's besides the point.

I'm curious as to why they chose the people they did; surely if we're here for some kind of 'Intergalactic Peace Corps', they'd choose people with diplomacy skills rather than a mixup including children and demons.

Perhpas the 'Peace' part is merely a suggestion. After all, it seems like they've chosen many people with above average fighting skills.

Yes, but then 'Peace' has different interpretations. We could be here to enforce it, rather than in the more literal sense.

Then there is your answer I suppose. I have fighting and healing skills so I would be useful for a fighting force.

Good luck to them getting me to do anything.
