(no subject)
Well, I'm in Washington. I found the 'rec center' which has all these computers and FREE FOOD. Including Diet Coke (good omen). I haven't really met anyone yet, with the exception of one random guy from Massachusetts. Didn't really talk to him though. Oh well, I've only been here for like an hour. My trip here was crazy. I figured that I wouldn't wait for the shuttle bus from the Friendship Heights subway becuase Connecticut Ave. looked to be about 5 blocks away on the map. It was. Unfortunately, the convention center was 14 blocks down Conn Ave. Hehe oh what a walk that was. I spent the entire walk composing an LJ entry in my head, but I can't really remember any of it now. Nice ass houses on the street though! I called and talked to Caitlin and Whitney after I got here. My room mates haven't quite arrived yet. One did, but I didn't stick around long enough to talk to him. Shit, this is a good sugar cookie. (Talk about stream of consciousness).
I think I have small ears. My headphone ear bud things don't work well with them. Grrr. I should have brought real headphones.
Hah it just made my day that there are computers here.
The conference actually looks like a lot of fun. We get to meet senators and shit. And have a 'model congress' in that big Congress building. I can't remember what it's called hahahaha. I kinda just want to come home though. I miss everyone!!!
You'll all probably get late night cell phone calls from me. Especially Amanda becuase she has no faith that I will call. :-P
I better go be social. *sigh* I hate meeting new people; I'm terrible at it.
