I understand why you've changed your lj to friends-only. I see lj as a modern day parallel to the lost palantir...you never know who else could be watching.

No, I don't speak Italian, save for a few words and a song. I'm part Italian, though, and I look it. I speak a decent bit of Spanish, and I know several songs and words in Japanese, and the tiniest bit of French!

And in TTT when Aragorn is speaking to Brego (there are no subtitles for that), I knew what he was saying. It just... came to me. ^^;;; I'm psychic! YAY!

Cool, I don't speak Japanese, but French is my first language (better be with a name like Monique, eh?) and I took Spanish for three years in high school. I wish I had kept it up, it's a really fun language to curse, I mean, speak in...

My friend prairiedaun is a linguistics major at the University of Winnipeg (I'm there too in Anthropology) and she just wrote a paper on Quenya and Sindarin. She also finished a paper for her etymology class on pirate words and their original meanings and what they mean now. She's a real character.
