So, apparently I spent two days discussing/arguing about horse rapes, kinky shapeshifting gods, which one is the rapist: the horse or the god, victims, woobifying Loki and other related issues. Damn you Norse mythology/Marvel mash-ups for making life so confusing! :D And damn you stupid fandom for taking fic tropes for mythological canon and making my head hurt.
Yesterday we just may have gone and seen The Avengers for the third and last time before setting up a camp and waiting for the dvd/blu-ray release date in September. And yes, it still was pure LOVE, no matter how many wtf?-moments we picked up. Tom Hiddleston still has the most beautiful crazy smile in the world. And Thor is an absolute darling. "KISS ALREADY GODDAMNIT!"
...And now that I've been writing an angsty "kickstarting Ragnarök with Odin & Loki 101" fic for a couple of days I think I just need to have a go at some disgustingly fluffy Steve/Thor on the side. Because Steve's ass. And Thor's arms. And cravings. xP
I finally got my hands on Stones Grow Her Name yesterday. I've listened it a couple of times and don't know what to say. Surprisingly 90's hard rock-ish? I knew Sonata wouldn't repeat the mind-blowingness that was Days of Grays, but this one sounds like hit songs without real hooks for now. A bit boring, but I know I'll learn to like this after a few more runs. BUT there's Wildfire, part: II - One with the Mountain, which I'm in love with already. Epic. <3
I'm stubbornly refusing to be sick, even though the flu the BF's been nursing for three weeks finally got me. My sister's graduating high school on Saturday, and I just can't wait to meet all the relatives I haven't seen a while and all the tattoo-related comments if it's warm enough not to wear anything back-covering with the dress. Top 5 questions go like this:
"Is it a wolf?" (Eh, no, it's a sheep in a bath tub with the lyrics of Whiskey in a Jar printed on the side. Of course it's a wolf.)
"Is it real?" (No, it's actually a very clever illusion, I'm working on my jedi mindtrics. Of course it's real.)
"You know it's gonna be there forever?" (Amazingly enough, the thought has crossed my mind.)
"What are you going to do when you're old?" (Shoot my neighbours' kids with a slingshot, throw cats at their parents and plead insanity when they contact authorities? I don't know, but I'm quite sure I can do all those things with a tattoo.)
"Why?" (What do you want to hear? It would be so great if more than 1 out of 10 people would ask me why I got this particular sheep in a bath tub.)
But apart from this it's really nice to see them, even more so when they don't have to hold their breaths over my sexual orientation or ending up an old maid anymore. I just hope my mom's head doesn't explode 'cause she has to come to my dad's place for the first time after the divorce and my step-mother moving in. And I hope granny doesn't do anything over dramatic to support the explosion. :P (I think that after all the !tension! there will be we really need that after party we've been planning.)
...After typing this out I'm not so surprised I prefer the Marvel!high to real life.
