so this is the second anti depressent ive been on that has caused major insomnia, i havnt slept in 2 days and i'm to worn down to go to school but i forgot how boring it is to be home sick from school and awake. so ive been reading and listening to rammstein nonstop. so ive decided to look up some einstein stuff cause i mean the guy helped to make the atomic bomb, the most devastateing weapon used so far, and i found this little thing
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." --Albert Einstein
its ironic that he has said then ahve his work used for those murderers as he puts it. i dont exactly consider out troops over in iraq and afghanistan murderers but they don't belong there and they should be killing and dieing for such unjust reasons. the people i consider murderers is george bush, dick cheney, donald rumsfield, colin powell, condoleza rice. they sent our men over there to die with shadey facts and made up reasons. the whole situation is fucked up, in the textbooks in school which our teachers and parents say is almost divine and if we can remember the information decides our future casue if we do good in class we get into a good college and that decides how our life will be. and in those books it condemns other countries for "imperialism" invading other countrys to take there resources and taking over there government because they said its unstable and barbaric.but when americas does it its justified and glorified even its patriotic and we should be proud. were also taught in school about the enlightenment locke, hobbes, rousseu, montesque, and a fundemental is that if the government is unjust then it should be overthrown. i had a dream saturday night about me leading a revolution with all my friends by my side and storming washington dc and sliting george bush's throat on the steps of congress and then rushing in and slaughtering the whole lot of them and stabing cheney in that defective heart of his. but then after my victory the army came in and killed me and i woke up.
i leave you with one last quote
It is horrifying to realize that the poison of militarism and imperialism threatens to bring undesirable changes in the political attitude of the United States….What we see at work is not an expression of the sentiments of the American people; rather, it reflects the will of a powerful minority which uses its economic power to control the organs of political life. Einstein on Peace, p. 343
