(no subject)
I haven't slept like that in a LONG time. haha but I guess nearly 48 hours without sleeping will do that to a person...
the concert last night was excellent (well... except for the two opening bands... yeah... that's all I'm gonna say...) I'd never really heard Celldweller before, they were pretty good. I think I'd like them more if I heard a cd, or heard them on a better night, their sound was pretty off. but for me to like it *with* the sound like that, it's gotta be good, right? & Acumen Nation was just awesome. I mean, they're really good recorded. I liked their stuff to begin with. but they are DEFINATELY a band that needs to be on stage. haha it's so funny, too, I met the lead singer, Jason, before I realized exactly who he was (I knew he was in the band, just not singing). to meet the guy, you would *never* think he would sound the way he does, or have the stage presence he does. it's funny how people can be like that.
the only *slightly* dissapointing thing about the night was they forgot to put Kevin on the list. apparently, Acumen had all of one people on there. go figure. it really says something about Kevin's dedication to them, though, the fact that he wound up paying $7 (the cover charge) to sell merch while the band was playing.
we really had a great time. this other guy from work, Phil, came with, too, he's good people. & I got to meet a few of Kevin's friends. & to top it all off, I got to have REAL sleep last night! hehe good times :)
