love your loved ones as hard as you possibly can
Hi all!
Congrats on the new baby Pat, that's awesome. I hope being nanny for the first two weeks of his life hasn't tainted you from loving him and his diaper treats. Ugh.
I miss you guys a lot and am so pleased that you found a place to live in for the Fall. Yipee. Pat you are going back soon eh? Wow. Brenn when are you and Cole heading out there? Pat are you moving into the place right away? I am confused. Anyhoo, good jorb on the house.
I am doing alright. My brother's best friend Keith was killed in a motor bike accident on the 29th so this weekend was really really hard for everyone. I am home in Coquitlam again, but I was back in Chilliwack for four days. A lot of crying and comforting was needed of me and my family for my brother. It is really hard. I feel so terrible for him and for Keith's family. The funeral is on Thursday. Keith was a fire fighter so the Vancouver department is putting it on for the family. It is going to be huge, approx. 1,000 people. They are shutting down streets and everything for the processional.
Anyways, it is absolutely tragic and very hard to comprehend let alone deal with emotionally and heal from. So please keep us in your thoughts. Sleep has kind of been a foreign act this past weekend, too much sorrow to rest it seems. I was up with my brother almost every night so when Joe and I got home last night I fell asleep at 8pm and woke up this morning at 11am. That's 15 hrs of sleep folks. Wowza.
Joe and I are fine. He has 1.5 weeks of school left and then we will be looking for a house and moving back to Chilliwack it looks like. Joe got a full-time teaching position for the Fall at a middle school back home. He will be teaching grade 9 math, science and PE- and coaching b-ball after school. I can't wait to go to his kids games and cheer them on, it will be great.
We are slowly becoming broke but I really really want to plan a Calgary trip for the Fall or Spring time so hopefully I will get some cash to save soon. I miss you guys and Tami so much. I haven't found a job yet, but I worked for a day (with pay) at a newspaper as a graphic designer and I am supposed to find out today or tomorrow if I got the position. Hopefully I did, I liked it. I got paid $18/hr too, so that ruled.
