This weekend was a very nice one! On Friday I went out to dinner with Bridgette and Claire! We went to Monterrey Cantina in Royal Oak, so good! After lots of funny chit chat we made our way to Cold Stone Creamery! Then we went to the movies and saw "Dan in Real Life", which was probably the best movie I have seen in a while! It truly was a great movie! I love Steve Carrell. His sense of humor gets me everytime!
Saturday morning my mom came by and picked me up and we went to this really cool antique store that was outside (brrrrr) and in this woman's really neat victorian home's barn! The name of the antique store is the Lambs Tail. And it was just a really neat place and I def. want to go back, plus it gave me alot of ideas. It's all refurbished things, very shabby-chic. I have a great idea for a chandelier now, made out of an old light fixture and tea cups and saucer's. Fun! After that we made our way to Target, looking for something festive to wear for our upcoming holiday parties and a tea we are attending in early December, but we didn't have much luck:( Then it was on to GFS where I bought my butter shaped like a turkey:) I know, I'm a dork:) But I couldn't resist! Later that evening Bobby and I just relaxed and watched alittle tv. You can tell we are getting "old" when our Saturday evenings are spent chillaxin' despite the fact that all of our friends were calling and asking us what we were doing.
Sunday I went to my cousin's baby shower. The 3 girl's that planned it did sooooo good! I want them to plan mine! They had a theme at each table. I was at Humpty Dumpty, and they had the centerpieces be an excerpt of the nursery rhyme, and then corresponding "Humpty Dumpty's Deviled Eggs." So each table had a different one, like the 3 Little pigs, and they had pig's in a blanket, etc. So it got people moving and such. Then the first game we played was where we had a little frozen baby in a cup of water and we had to get the baby out, using only body heat, no touching it, or breaking it. etc. I got my baby out first technically second by my aunt dropped her baby surrounded in ice, and it broke the baby free.. ahahha so yeah. That was a cute game. Then we had to guess the gestational periods of different animals, and I won that one as well guessing 7 out of the 21... go me! I think people were getting annoyed by my competitive edge:) The cake was really cute. It was a baby in a bed, and then another cake that looked like the mobile. Really fun! The favors were those cookies in jar where you just add the wet ingredients. I made them when I got home, and for THE FIRST TIME, I used my kitchenaid mixer!!! Bobby was so happy, because I think he was feeling a little sad I had bugged him for one, and then never used it. But now that I have, I totally will be using it waaaaaaaaaay more! Plus since I asked for those attachements, I will be using it alot more too! We watched "Transformers" last night, which was very good, since I don't really like those kind of movies! And also "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" which was pretty good as well.
So that was my weekend. I had a great time! Now begins the weekends full of family, friends and shopping!! Let the Holidays begin!!!
