i know, even though sungmin has covered it with make up in the mirror, the ugly bruise on his face is still visible.
“it’s not going to happen again, kyuhyun.” sungmin says to me. i, acting as his best friend although my heart is belong to him, still make my face full of anxiousness.
“how can you say that after all these times?” i ask him carefully, caressing the bruise on his cheek, “your relationship with kangin is getting unhealthy! you have to break him up, sungmin!” and get your way with me…but i don’t say it out loud.
“i…i’m still not prepared, kyuhyun…”
“and then when?”
sungmin shakes his head, “i don’t know. maybe never…”
“sungmin!”
“i’m fine, kyuhyun!”
“heed my lecture, sungmin! please…” i beg him. but, all i get is a shake from his head.
sungmin’s room door is suddenly opened. i grit my teeeth when i notice that kangin has gone home.
“sungmin…” kangin approaches us and caresses sungmin’s cheek with his sinful fingers, “i did this again…i’m sorry. i just…i wasn’t on my right mind…”
“sssh.” sungmin smiles, preventing his tears to fall, and puts his index finger on kangin’s lips, “i know. i got it.”
“i swear i love you, sungmin…”
“i love you too, kangin.” sungmin replies, hugging his abusive boyfriend tightly. i throw my face away so i can’t see them kissing.
“i think, my problem with sungmin has finished. thanks for you help, kyuhyun.” kangin tells me.
i prevent myself not to show my anger and rise from the floor.
“i need to talk to your boyfriend for a while, sungmin.” i tell the one i love carefully, “it’s not going to be long, okay?”
sungmin lets go kangin’s body and the bulky man follows me to go out from the room. once we’re in far distance from sungmin’s ears. i slam kangin’s back onto the wall.
“what the fuck!” kangin hisses.
“listen, you damned! you can fool sungmin with you fake apologize and swear, but you can’t do that to me!” i hiss lowly, carefully, so sungmin won’t here it.
i see kangin’s lips grow into smirk, “i know you’re not that fool, kyuhyun. but, you can do nothing now. sungmin is still mine!”
i grit my teeth and push him even further to the wall, “do you like a man when you push him around?! do you feel better now as he falls on the ground, huh?! well, i’ll tell you, my friend, one day this world is going to end! as your lies crumble down, he will find a new life!”
“and before that time comes,” kangin replies me, “i’m stil going to do everything i want to him. and no one, including you, can do anything!”
i release his collar and leave their house in rage on my mind.

it’s a raining day. and the knock on my front door is waking me up from my thought about sungmin.
“sungmin…” i whisper his name.
he’s shaking in cold and his eyes are brimming with tears, “can…ca-can i come in…?”
“of course!” i make the way for him and close the door.
“what’s wrong…?” i hug his trembling body after making him to change his wet clothes.
“he…he has an affair…” sungmin sobs on my chest, “after these times…he has another lover outside…”
i almost choke on that, “what?!”
“he lied!” sungmin exclaims, “he lied! he swore to me that he loved me, kyuhyun! but, he lied about that! i should have heard you! what a fool!”
i hug sungmin tighter, “sssh, now you’ve known the truth. i think you don’t have another reason to keep your way with him…”
“i finally had enough…” sungmin weakly muffles his words on my chest.
“su-sungmin…” i call him, “i-i love you, okay…? don’t, don’t get back to him! please, stay with me here! i won’t do what he had done to you!”
sungmin looks up to me in shock, “you…what?”
“i know!” i sigh, “this isn’t a right time for confession. but, i can’t stand to see you with him anymore!”
sungmin looks down on his lap, “i-i don’t know…i mean…i’ve just got broken up with kangin…i can’t directly do this…”
“i understand. take your time, sungmin. i’ll be waiting even if it’s taking forever.”
finally, i could see him smiling again although there are still tears on his eyes, “thank you, kyuhyun…”
