“aaw!” key squealed, “you got your self a boyfriend, jinki??”
“uhm, yes? who told you?” jinki peeked from his bangs.
“my son!” key clasped his hands together.
“your son?”
“taemin!” key groaned, “he’s my son. and now you’re my son too. and one of my sons has been taken!”
he pretended wiping the unreal tears from his cheeks, “ah, how fast the time goes by, right?”
wanted it or not, jinki couldn’t help to laugh to see key like that, “oh, gosh! you guys are amazing!”
“yeah. and i don’t know why i can fall for this boy either.” jonghyun playfully ruffled key’s hair.
“argh! you ruined my hair! stop it!” key slapped jonghyun’s hand and glared, “you! you’re an irresponsible husband! i raised our children alone! you, what did you do?? ruining my hair??”
jinki’s laughter doubled. he nudged minho’s arm, “are they usually like this??”
minho snickered, “they are.”
“oh, god! my tummy could explode if i watch them everyday! they’re soooo married. really!”
minho stopped chuckling when he heard that. somehow, it reminded him that jinki had got a boyfriend. he smiled bitterly.
“aren’t you going to introduce leeteuk hyung to us?” taemin asked with a smile, but it looked like forcedly.
“err, do you guys want to know him?”
“of course!!” key suddenly joined, “i have to know my son-in-law!”
jinki laughed again, “i’ll bring him with me sometime.”
“great!” key squealed again, “he has to be handsome and kind or i won’t allow you to be with him, son!”
they just didn’t know minho had backed off silently and walked away.
minho sat on the roof and flattened his back on the warm pavement. he shut his eyes and sighed.
“why did my heart hurt?” he mumbled, “it’s not like i like jinki.”
then suddenly, a shadow hovered above him. he opened his eyes to see jonghyun.
“yo.” jonghyun held his hand up.
“why are you here?” minho asked with frown.
“i realized you gone. i know you would come here if you’re troubled.” jonghyun set a place beside him, “so, why?”
“nothing.” minho hid his troubled face by facing forward.
jonghyun sighed. he’d known minho since a long time. and it wasn’t that hard to find his best friend troubled.
“i won’t force you. you’ll come to us if you’re ready though.”
minho smiled a little, “thank you, jonghyun.”
jonghyun nodded and flattened is back on the pavement, “perhaps, i can guess it.”
“eh?” minho turned his face and saw jonghyun smirking.
“you’re too obvious.” jonghyun shrugged.
“what do you mean?”
“it’s jinki, right? your face always becomes sour every time we slip into leeteuk in our convo. it’s obvious. you’re jealous.”
“no!”
“yes.” jonghyun sang, “deny all you want, minho. but you can’t lie to your heart.”
minho stopped denying and clutched his head, “i don’t know that, jonghyun! why do i feel a hit in my heart every time he mentions leeteuk?? i know leeteuk is his boyfriend, and so what?? what’s wrong with me?”
“nothing’s wrong. you’re just in love.”
“i’m not in love with jinki, jonghyun!” minho snapped, “i’m not.”
jonghyun peeked from an eye, “oh, really? is it from your heart?”
minho was silenced.
jonghyun got up and patted minho’s shoulder, “maybe, it’s not ‘i’m not in love with jinki’ but it’s ‘i’m not in love with jinki yet’, right?”
and with that way, jonghyun left him alone with his thought.

“hyung, would you like to be introduced to my friend?” jinki asked to his boyfriend between their cuddling time in his dorm.
leeteuk pushed his shoulders to face him with widened eyes, “introduce me??”
“i’m not forcing you, if only you…”
“i’d love to! really!” leeteuk smiled brightly, “when?”
“err…now?”
“yes, no problem!”
jinki nodded and rose from sofa, “i’ll call them first.”
jinki called all his friends and invited them. there was a little bit problem with taemin, but he could handle it anyway. he’d known that taemin had been against his relationship with leeteuk a little bit.
“i have to keep using those thick glasses and my school clothes, okay?” jinki asked leeteuk, “two of my friends haven’t known about the real me yet.”
“it’s okay, jinki.” leeteuk kissed the crown of his head.
once he opened the door and greeted them, key squealed and approached the shocked leeteuk on the sofa.
“aaw! he’s handsome! my son really has a good taste!” key clasped his hands.
“yah…” jonghyun nagged from the door, pouting like a child toward key. the diva giggled and ran into jonghyun’s arms.
“but, you’re still the best, baby!” key beamed.
jinki chuckled and let them in. there were two people with sour faces. taemin, jinki had expected it. but, minho?
“excuse us.” minho mumbled stiffly.
jinki raised his eyebrows. it wasn’t a usual minho, “minho, are you sick?”
“no.” minho shook his head, “why?”
“you look…never mind.”
then, minho sat on the sofa quietly.
where is the noisy minho?, jinki thought but decided to ignore him.
“so, guys, like what i’ve promised. this is leeteuk hyung, my boyfriend.”
“hyung?” key asked, “he’s our hyung?”
“he’s studying in college now, so yes, he’s our hyung.” jinki nodded.
“wow…my son in law is older than me!” key spoke.
“and your son too, baby.” jonghyun pointed jinki, but he was ignored by the diva.
“what do you want for drinks? i have coke, lemon tea, orange syrup and icy water.”
“coke!” key and jonghyun answered immediately.
leeteuk chuckled, “orange syrup.”
“ice orange syrup will be good, thanks hyung.” taemin said.
but, minho was still playing with his phone, shooting the alien in his game furiously.
“err, minho?”
“whatever as long as it can be drunk.” he mumbled.
jinki eyed jonghyun but the said boy just sighed and mouthed, just give him lemon tea, he likes that.
“okay.” jinki nodded, “introduce yourselves first while i’m preparing your drinks.”
he walked into the kitchen but he felt someone following. it was minho.
“what are you doing here?”
minho shrugged. he dragged a chair and sat in a close distance with jinki.
“really, minho.” jinki sighed, “you’re being weird today, your face is so sour.”
“i am sour.” minho nodded and fiddled his fingers.
“no, i mean not that, i mean, you look…weird today.” jinki defended, “you’re not usually like this.”
there was silence before minho answered, “lemon tea.”
“eh?”
“i want lemon tea.”
jinki nodded, “i know. i’m making it. jonghyun told me earlier.”
then a silence again. jinki sighed and decided to ignore the sitting boy. but when he had arranged the glasses on the tray, minho stood and grabbed it.
“i’ll bring it.” minho said shortly and left with the tray.
it ended up two lemon teas for minho and jinki, cokes for jonghyun and key and orange syrup for taemin and leeteuk. minho sipped his drink quietly and got back to his game again.
“sorry, jinki, i have to go now. i still have classes in my college.” leeteuk stood up.
“oh, yes. i’ll drop you outside. wait a minute.”
his friends nodded and he left with leeteuk outside.
“what’s wrong with you?!” key hissed to minho, “you were being mean to leeteuk, you know?”
“mean?” minho raised his eyerow, “me? what did i do? i didn’t kick his ass, key.”
“you didn’t. but, why were you so cold to him, eh?? we’re guest here. and this is leeteuk’s boyfriend’s dorm! you have to know that!”
“but, i didn’t do anything!!” minho snapped key harshly, “why do you care anyway?!”
“what the fuck is wrong with you today, minho?” jonghyun narrowed his eyes, “you don’t behave like usual.”
“hyung?” taemin whispered, “why are you troubled?”
minho rose from the sofa, preparing for departing.
“wait minho!” key tried to stop the latter but he was too late. minho bumped to jinki in the door step.
“eh, minho? where are you going?”
he stared at the shorter male a little longer than usual the he put his shoes on, “thanks for the lemon tea, jinki. i have to go. see ya.”
and he stomped away, leaving gaping jinki alone.
“what’s wrong with minho?” he asked the rest but he got no answer, “guys?”
“he has some trouble. let him be.” jonghyun finally answered jinki shortly.
jinki frowned and sat in front of him.
trouble? really?

another tiring day for jinki, he had to go home late after finishing some assignment in his school’s library. he cracked his neck tiredly. he felt all his body got cramped after a long time of reading the thick history book.
he was on his way back to his dorm when suddenly someone covered his head with a black cloth. he tried to struggle but it didn’t help. another person dragged him and threw him onto a hard surface. several kicks and punches were hit his body mercilessly. he tried to get a help, but the cloth around his face was too tight, he couldn’t even breathe properly.
“you have to place your self on the right place, nerd!” he heard a voice.
from the voice, jinki knew it was a boy and a kick once again collided with his body.
“you don’t feel enough with choi minho and now you’re trying to bootlick his group too? huh! pathetic!” another voice shouted.
“listen, lee jinki!” another voice, the lowest voice of all, spoke up, “you have to know your place! you’re an unworthy nerd, so stay back from minho’s group! you make their group look bad with you in it! you ruin them!” another kick on his shoulder.
then, the cloth on his head loosened. he pulled it off from his head and exhaled the air as much as his lungs could bear. he panted slightly and looked around, but it seemed the boys earlier had run away. he clutched his head and groaned. all he could his when he brought his hand to his sight was blood.
“fuck…” he cursed breathily. he got up from his position by the wall’s helping and sighed, “this again…”
he picked his bag and slung it on his shoulder. he felt a pain in his chest, but it wasn’t caused by the hits. it caused because he had just known his presence in minho’s group ruining them.
chuckling sadly, he walked limply to reach his dorm.
