This weekend was fun and I really needed the break!!!
~*Wednesday: I started setting up my Christmas tree. When I got bored with that I just laid around and watched a movie. Eventually I finished putting the lights on.
~*Thursday: I watched the parade for a while, but I kept switching off between that and Meet The Parents. Later I went to my grandma’s house for dinner. Unfortunately, I got stuck washing the dishes afterwards. Then we sat in her living room and my grandma had the news on. After watching depressing stuff for a while, my dad suggested playing a game. As soon as we started, I got really hyper and my grandma got to see a new side of me. Then I came home and had hot chocolate and watched Miracle On 34th street with my family.
~*Friday: After I ate breakfast I decided to go get my hair cut. It looks really different and I don’t really like it. Oh well. I was really happy though because they decided to buy a half page ad from me this year. Last year they only bought 1/8 page. I get home and my dad randomly decides he wants to get new tires on the van before we got up north. So I wait at home for him for a while. We finally leave around 2ish. We got there and talked with my aunt and uncle for a while then we ate Thanksgiving leftovers which were really good!! I ended up doing homework for a while after dinner. When I finished, my uncle was watching this show on the Discovery channel called “I Shouldn’t Be Alive,” and everyone else started watching it. It’s about people who go though something and they thought they were going to die. The second episode was really creepy! It was about these people who were sailing from Maine to Florida, but they got caught in a tropical storm and their ship sank, so they were living on this lifeboat for 6 days. Out of the 5 passengers, only 2 survived. After drinking the salt water, 2 of the people started hallucinating and jumped off the lifeboat and were eaten by sharks. The other person died from an infection.
~*Saturday: I learned that retired people do not sleep!!!!!! My aunt and uncle woke up at like 7:45ish. Julie and I were sleeping in the loft and that does not have a door so we got woken up. I laid there for a while trying to fall back asleep. Plus the whole night I was hearing noises……After breakfast, my family went to go see my grandma. She was too tired so we didn’t take her back to my aunt’s house. We went back later that day and took my grandma to church. My cousin and her twin babies also came. That was soooooooooooo funny!!! They were running around the whole time. Eventually my cousin got really mad and left because the babies were being so loud, even though we were sitting in the cry room. We all went back to my aunt’s house for dinner and that was ok. We got a picture of my baby cousin feeding my grandma which was really funny. Barbequing in the snow is really cold!!!! After my dad took my grandma back, we played with my cousins a little and then they were put down for bed. That didn’t go very well because they cried for like an hour! When they finally fell asleep, we all played cards.
~*Today: Sat in a car for 3 hours. I have to think of a title for my paper and practice. :(………….. Oh well. I had fun while it lasted and I hope everyone had a great break too!!!!!
