(no subject)
Yesterday was the carwash. That was fun. It took a long time for us to get people to start coming. Then Nathan got the idea of using the crosswalk to stop traffic. That was funny. Then Robyn started to count how many waves and beeps we got!!! I dont know the total but it was a lot.
When I got home I had a couple of hours to relax then my cousin picked me up. Julie and I went to go babysit. For once the kids werent bad!!!! I was soo happy! We went outside and stuff...They surprisingly went to bed pretty easily too. It was much better than last time. When I got home I went next door because there was a party at Adams house that my parents went to so Julie and I went too.
Today was long...Right before we were about to leave for church the storm came and our power went out. We were shocked because our power like never goes out from a storm. So we sat there in the dark for a while and watched the lighting...It was bad. There were some like orange/red lightning strikes...We were out for 6 hours!!!! It reminded me of the blackout a little bit. I was REALLY glad my dad bought a generator after it because if he hadnt, I would have spent my day getting water out of our basement....So today we talked to our neighbors and Adam spent a lot of the day at my house. The power finally came back on around 5.
I realized again how much we use electricity. I mean without it, you cant do much. There is no TV, computer, not much phone service (unless you have a cord phone or a cell phone), you cant really open the fridge because you dont want to lose the coldness, and you cant heat anything up in the microwave. Oh well it was only 6 hours so I am glad for that! :)
