*~*~Halloween Pic Fic 2016: Witch Hunt~*~*
Happy Halloween!
I can't believe it's actually here and that October is just about over. I know I say every year how fast it went, but this year it truly feels like it was over before it started. My motivation was iffy all month long and I kind of feel like I half-assed most of what I did, but for the most part, I think it turned out alright.
As I said the other day, this pic-fic is a little shorter and more humorous than previous years', but I think it will be fun regardless.
RAEVYN: Look, Moira, I know Celestine insisted that you baby-sit me this Halloween since she and Drina had to go to a convention, but I really don't need it. In fact, I don't even need them most days. I'm always the one who winds up doing everything anyway.
MOIRA: So I hear. But have you ever considered, even though your witch rules are different from where I come from, that Celestine is sort of your Supreme in a way and maybe you should take her advice sometimes?
RAEVYN: Celestine's advice pales in comparison to my own experiences.
MOIRA: Whatever. I'm going to go find some pumpkins. Try not to summon anything too brutal while I'm gone, okay?
RAEVYN: Ugh, just because she knows coven politics, she thinks's she's so smart. How did I even get stuck with her? I wish I could just switch her out with another witch!
SWITCH WITCH: Hello.
RAEVYN: What in the world are you?
SWITCH WITCH: I'm a Switch Witch, from the Land of Halloween! No, if you'll excuse me, I must be off to find some candy to power my home through the winter! Bye now!
RAEVYN: Oh no. What in the world did I just do?
LENORE: Raevyn! I'm so glad I found you! I felt a disturbance in the Golden Pumpkin and--
RAEVYN: You came to me because I'm the only one who can possibly be to blame? No one else could've accidentally summoned a Switch Witch?
LENORE: A Switch Witch? Oh, dear. We must get her back home. Switch Witches are sort of an experimental thing back in the Land of Halloween. They take candy from trick-or-treaters to power their homes, and switch the candy out for other things. Most of this world has not fully adjusted to the idea of them yet. We have to get her out of here before this causes major Halloween mayhem.
MARLA: Did you hear that? There's a Switch Witch on the loose here.
LOUKI: What exactly is a Switch Witch?
MARLA: They take your candy and switch it out for some stupid thing or another. Basically they destroy Halloween.
LOUKI: You know what we have to do, right?
MARLA: We have to catch her before the goody-goodies do, and trap her so she can't ruin our holiday!
MOIRA: Hey you guys, I just saw a couple of those Pullip girls going by, talking about hunting a witch. Is everything alright?
LENORE: Well, there is a Switch Witch on the loose...
RAEVYN: Did one of them have black hair and the other bright yellow with a big pink streak?
MOIRA: Yeah, why?
RAEVYN: Oh boy. That would be Louki and Marla. Last year they managed to summon the Dark Mother. We have to get to that Switch Witch before I get blamed for this.
LENORE: Well, you were the one that brought the Switch Witch here, but putting all that aside, let's just try to find her, alright?
LOUKI: Okay, we've got the bait candy set.
MARLA: That little candy-stealing twerp should be along any minute.
LOUKI: She won't see us here. You've got the trap all rigged up, right?
MARLA: Of course.
SWITCH WITCH: These will be perfect to power my home.
SWITCH WITCH: Aaaaaaah!
MARLA: Make sure you get the cap on right!
LOUKI: Got her! And she didn't even get to take any of the candy!
LOUKI: I can still hear her moving around.
MARLA: Whatever, she's not going anywhere. She's just a cup of coffee now.
RAEVYN: Um, hi, you guys.
LENORE: What are you two up to?
LOUKI: Just enjoying a nice pumpkin spice latte.
MARLA: Hold your 'basic bitch' jokes, please. They're a lifestyle for some of us.
MOIRA: You two haven't seen a witch--
MARLA: Aaaah! Ouch!
MOIRA: Oh, my gosh.
LOUKI: Now how did that get in there?
RAEVYN: I may have summoned her but at least I didn't hold her captive in a coffee cup.
LENORE: You know we were going to send her home, right? She's not going to steal all your candy!
MARLA: A little help?
LENORE: Come on, we have to get you home. This world clearly isn't ready for the power of the Switch Witch just yet.
LOUKI: You know, since she's such a candy magnet...
MARLA: ...Maybe we should take her trick-or-treating with us, and send her back after. Without any candy of course.
