(no subject)
I have not written in a while but after the AMAZING weekend i had i figured i must tell you all about it. State Competition was GREAT. I had so much fun-what i write doesnt even do it justice it was that awesome. Dalia and I went up to greensboro on thursday afternoon and after a rocky start at the meeting, and having to write a speech in under and hour, we had some fun. We Walked around the hotel and talked to people and just kinda relaxed.
Friday morning we woke up and the rest of our Team came from Fayetteville :) We didnt have any meetings on Friday until later on in the evening, so Cody, Dalia and I went out to the mall and had some Shopping Time! It was fun, even though i didnt really spend any money. We met MORE people and got invited to go bowling with some guys. We basically stayed at the mall most of the day and then i got ready for the "general Session" that night-I wore a nice black suit, and after a LONG session the State Officers who were campaigning (me being one of them) had to go on stage and Do a Fish bowl question-lets not go there. I got a random question, and i answered it fine, so all went well. After that there was a "Meet the Canidate" Session and i met some nice people and told them all to VOTE for STARR! and then i met this really nice guy MATT, who i talked to for a few minutes. Then i went outside the room because most of the people i talked to were not from my region so it did me no good to chat with them. I Talked to a BUNCH of people doing that and finally made my way to the bowling hallway-lol That was ok, didnt stay but a few minutes bc it was kinda pointless, and they were kinda odd.
Saturday was the BEST day by far! I got up REALLY early, and got dressed, in a nice Cream suit with lots of color (thats how we do it)...then I made sure CODY was awake, and he had on a nice black and red suit, we set up my campaigning booth and the fun began! For the next two hours my famous words were "PICK A STARR WIN A PRIZE!"...haha it was hilarious, and fun and i met more of my REGION, and I saw MATT again, which was nice :-D And i talked with him on the down time in the campaign. kinda funny to see a guy all flirty. Usually its us girls who have to do the eye fluttering. LOL JK! So after that i went with cody and got some much deserved lunch and then made a campaign speech to my entire region and their delegates, then went to another meeting for the hopeful officers. It was interesting. Then i relaxed and got some dinner and got dressed for the AWARDS session-WOW that was the longest 2 hours of my life-we were the last thing on the agenda basically-WOW...OMG I WON! hehe,and robert this gay guy ( ithink) won to and we are going to be like best friends- then there was ANOTHER meeting,and then a dance where i saw matt then at like 12 he called me and i talked to him for like an hour and half...it was really nice. He is so easy to talk to :) Then i went to bed.
Sunday we woke up REALLY early and packed and left-;( i didnt want to leave...it was sooooo much fun
