ice sculptures and singing chips

There will be live ice sculptors all along Union St. in Cow Hollow on Sat, Dec. 16th from noon until 4pm. (Yes, I'm sort of still on a fire and ice kick from last weekend.)

And if you'll be in the S Bay and know someone with kids you can borrow and are into this sort of thing, the Intel Museum is offering a free class that teaches kids to make a musical holiday card.

"Computer chips are everywhere--powering the Internet, controlling cars,
automating factories, enhancing cell phones, and enriching home
entertainment. A new class at the Intel Museum helps children age 7 and up
learn about computer chip science while making a musical holiday card!

The class lasts about 45 minutes, and is offered 5 times per day on
Saturday, December 16th and December 23rd:

10:30 am - 11:15 am
11:30 am - 12:15 pm
1:30 pm - 2:15 pm
2:30 pm - 3:15 pm
3:30 pm - 4:15 pm"
