I believe a summary is in order! (because that's how I do things.)
Note: I find it funny that while I thoroughly enjoy writing, and generally think I'm pretty good at, my methods of blogging and email produce pretty much the laziest, sloppiest pieces of crap ever. Oh well. I never really start to get serious (and have fun!) until I'm writing a paper or working on my story.
What a lovely summer I had! My birthday was pretty much the best birthday ever. I went out to the Catawba for a day with some friends and roamed around, took pictures, and went swimming in the (mostly clean) river.
Later that evening, I went over to my dear friend Kristy's house for a low key dinner with her and her son Hemingway, the best kid ever. He made me a birthday card with zombies and bloody eyeballs. My birthday cake suffered some sort of injury, but it was still delicious.
Then, right before school started I went to ANUSARA YOGA CAMP. THE FUNNEST THING EVERRRR. (well, one of the funnest things ever.) The camp was help in beautiful Black Mountain, NC. While there, my friend Justin and I skipped out on one of the yoga classes to go take a taste of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which I had never ridden before. Ironically, we skipped out on Justin's wife's yoga class in order to do this; luckily, she totally understood. I vowed to head back up to the mountains to ride again soon. While at yoga camp, I also got to have AcroYoga playtime with strangers. (who then became friends!)
that's me on top there!
THEEEEEN, this past weekend I went to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway again, this time for an all day trip. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Next year, I'm planning to tour a huge section of it!
Those are the highlights!
