Good night
Not entirely sure how it came about but I ended up picking up kawaiihana55 at Alderwood Mall tonight and brought her over to hang out with sdrichards, da_force, peeved_the_cat, MG, and I. It was good hanging out with everyone.
We had awesome cheese and chocolate fondue in the new fondue set provided by demonic_ducky, and velkrow for the holidays to peeved_the_cat.
It is always good to hang out with the urban tribe of ours, I think we need to start LAN gaming more often.
Tonight and yesterday we played a lot of Starcarft, love that game.
While kawaiihana55 was here, we set her up with a laptop and let her try to learn Starcraft in the 1 player modes while the rest of us slayed computer opponents until about 30 minutes ago. Anyway, I hope she enjoyed playing it and had a good time hanging out with us geeks for the evening. It sounded like she did not have the best of days so I hope she had a little fun while she was here. She is always welcome.
Last night during the New Years party at sdrichards place I played Texas Hold-em with some friends. First time I have played that in person with anybody, only played online before... Usually I am more of a Blackjack player. Anyway it was fun... I borrowed the $5 to get in and walked out with $20 after paying the hostess back her $5. Might have to play again sometime soon. The rest of the evening was just fun and social... I still would like to know where thorngage disappeared to during the midnight toast. The "open" conversation at the end of the evening proved to be very interesting... MG never fails to surprise...
So far 2006 has been good. Back to work after my long absence on Tuesday... Hopefully all is well at work. I have not heard a peep so I am assuming its all good.
