Yeah it has been a while...

So the last few weeks have been damn busy. Wedding stuff for Joe and Sam, some gaming, helping my mom out, mom coming for a visit, I am sure the list goes one.

Last night was Joe Bond's wedding. Overall the event was fine. More planning and coordination could have been used, a rehearsal would have been good too, but honestly while there were plenty of roadblocks it happened and seemed to go pretty well. I avoided telling embarrassing stories about Joe during my best man speech, but threw in my normal form of humor and even offered to take the mic to each table and each table tell an embarrassing story if the bride did not cooperate. All and all I had a mostly fun evening even with not getting home till like 1am and not to sleep until like 2:30am.

Bachelor party went well, 'nuff said.

Beyond that my mother is doing well and is moving forward with her life at a good pace as well as still dealing with the loss of George. She is doing well. Ria and I along with the gang will be down there in few weeks, then Ria and I head back down in October for a little vacation. She came up here for the weekend last week and we went up and visited my uncle for his annual pig BBQ. It was tasty and a pretty good day.

The new job is going well. We have our first team call with our counterparts at other centers tomorrow. We have a pretty good lead on them on development and process items so I have a feeling that we will be shining pretty bright.

Amongst all this Neil has moved items into my garage for storage while he starts to process his divorce. So Ria and I have been dealing with a wedding and a divorce in the same week. Ria and I did some much needed and very rapid garage sorting so he could have space. I think we could fit a car again, both once Neil finds a more permanent home for his gear. Sometimes it amazes me what her and I can do in 2 hours.

This weekend is looking mostly open at this point... I think we are joining Tony and Hanna and seeing the Beatniks at the taste of Edmonds, but that might just be it. I look forward to maybe curing up and watching some movies or something... We should probably also go catch a showing of Hellboy.
