Work, week 3

Aug 04, 2007 00:13

So week 3 ended today and our trainer continues to be impressed overall by the class. We are 2 full days ahead in the training agenda and apparently no class has actually ever been that far along, or for that matter has ever even completed every item on the training agenda. If things continue at this pace we may not have any planned work for most of the last week of training... Too bad that we can't get them to give us some paid time off in exchange.

Today we got to meet the Director of Training and Development. I got to ask some good questions and get my name out to him. Hopefully I will know enough to go and knock on his door in a few months and get in on the training development side of the house.

School continues to move along. Math continues to be the struggle, but chapter 10 at least proved to be not too bad overall. Kevin is right and "i" is the devil. I finished all of the weekly assignments and just have to take the quizzes this weekend. I continue to get kudos from my English teacher. In computers I keep loosing points over my spelling and grammar, but I am blowing away the assignments overall. I must remind myself to not take a class from this teacher again. Right now it looks like 2 solid A's and C, but I that C in math is not a safe bet at all.

Saturday Ria and I are heading up to my uncles house for a family BBQ. We can only stay for a couple of hours due to my homework, but it will be nice to see some other people. With work and school taking me away from gaming or even playing video games my only real social activities are during breaks at work and I really need to get out more then that. Couple more weeks to go and at least I will have Saturday's free to hang out with whomever is around which will be nice.

Couple more things to do then bed time for Bongo.
