The adventure of the laptop

Jul 25, 2007 20:02

So Monday I went and bought a laptop in the hopes of using it for classes and such. Not too high end, but enough for my usage plans, just need to bump up the RAM.

Anyway I went and looked at some on Sunday and walked out thinking that my best bet was to get the current version of what Sacha has. Read some reviews and a couple of things on it that I find important were simply trashed by several sources.

End up going back in on Monday and talking to a couple of folks who actually end up talking me down to a lower model that did a good job of meeting my needs and for about $100 less then then I was looking to spend. Nice.

I get it home, and rush through my homework that I needed to get done. It sits in it box. About 5 hours later while on my way towards bed I pop it out of the box and plug it in for a charge, and to at least boot it up once and get through initial setup. No problems.

Tuesday it stays in the home I have found for it. For anybody that knows me you should know by now something is wrong... Collin with a new computer to play with and he has not more then taken it out of the box. In the back of my head I was going crazy. I am just that busy with everything.

Anyway I finally have it out of its box and am happily typing along on it now. I decided that I needed a night away from school work and that gave me the time to start ripping the crap software that was included off of it. Yay. New toy.

Anyway that is what the last few days of my life has been. I am still having fun learning at work, and school is fun in many ways.

Off to go ride a bike and get some exercise.
