Working, day 1
So I started today with "the new at&t" (its in lowercase now instead of the old AT&T), anyway, I have to say that I think I am going to like it there.
Its hard sum up in way that anybody most would understand, but I just have this overall feeling that they may actually care. Not just about the money, but about the customers, and the people that work for them too. It was not something I expected to hear or see.
While I was with Verizon I knew that there were a ton of people that cared about those that they worked with, and a ton of people that cared about having happy customers, but in the last couple of years I started to feel that the company itself no longer cared about those things.
The other thing is that while doing some people watching while on break I noticed that the people that actually work there seemed to want to be there. For most with VZ they loved the paycheck, but never seemed to really love or enjoy the job.
I have to wait to see how several more days go, but I am happy with today.
