conscience. Sophie is always in the back of Simon's mind, on some level. Whenever he's about to do something wrong, a little thought bubble pops up above his head with her face in it. Well, essentially. Usually he only thinks twice when she's with him, but still, she is the constant reminder of what he shouldn't be doing. Even if she's a stick in the mud and a hindrance, Simon's taken a liking to her and they've become close, forming a somewhat dysfunctional friendship. And she buys him nice shoes.
strictest

eloquent. An unexpected friendship was formed with Edie when she stumbled across his shop and became a regular customer. At first he just got a strong dose of Tale sense around her when she visited, but they got to talking and she's become one of Simon's long-term friends. Simon's not the protective type, so he's not exactly brotherly towards her, but he's grown attached in some way.

brine. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah.
open

barcode. Customers. Whether they've been coming for years or are only recent regulars, Simon always likes to chat with his customers, and he's become friends with many within the time he's owned the shop.

manateen. For some reason or other, Cassia and Bianca have "adopted" Simon as their project. They buy him stupid clothes and attempt to shape him into something dateable, as they say, and he puts up with their antics for some ridiculous reason. He's actually come to be a little fond of them, if not still annoyed.
whynded and reallyaprincess

scar tissue. An ex-girlfriend Simon was fairly serious about who ended up cheating on him and totally screwing him over. They were never a likely pair, but got along swimmingly while they were dating, and the fact that she dumped him so hard rattled his foundations pretty badly. Simon's not one to hold grudges, but he can't help but be a little snippy with her - they're not on bad terms, per se, but he can't help but feel bitter over the situation on some level.
open, f

ouija. The friends. Simon's posse is varied and unusual, but they're there for better or worse to lend a kind word or, you know, alcoholic support.

information about the shop.

Infusion, Simon's tea shop and parlour, is located towards the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He serves specialty, gourmet teas - white, green, oolong, black, chais, puh-er, blends, and tisanes - by the ounce or in the shop. They serve afternoon and high tea, and the parlour is open most days; there's a selection of sandwiches, pastries, and chocolates for sale. Simon sells pot tea (a special blend! Woohoo!) to friends for a fairly low cost. The shop is set up pretty plainly, with tins of tea available to smell around the room on counters. Teawares - tea sets, pots, cups, infusers, etc - are for sale at the counter. His flat is above the shop on the next two floors.
