Railing

Dec 08, 2006 19:45

You came knocking on my door
like snow in summer
so out of place, so inconspicuously
It was  mystery to me

But your eyes still shined the same
and your hair still fell in front of your face
But you walked with a touch of grace
that I'd never seen before

Amazing
After all this time you came back to save me

It's not as if you jumped on a train
Skipped town and flew 5,000 miles on a plane
to come and see me
It was a mystery to me

So you didn't say much which only confrimed
the heart recalls the past and forgets what it's learned
and it still burns
and years for what it hasn't seen before

Amazing
After all this time you came back to save me
I don't think you know it,
but you're my railing.
