(no subject)
Long time no talk. To sum up: I'm a lazy bastard and I still don't have a job this summer. Unfortunately, that's really about it. I have been doing random stuff around the house, and for other people, but nothing to really cover the summer. It is a bit late now that I've waited so damn long.
I have been doing a lot of reading though. I read a few John Grisham books. They're not the greatest, but I find them interesting. I read The Da Vince Code, and I saw the movie today. Eh. It's a good story, and the way the plot was created was definitely entertaining, but I dunno... maybe there was just too much hype. It was a good one-time read, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I just finished Catch-22. Now that was a book I liked. It's absolutely absurd, entirely sarcastic, all in all a good read. Of course, there are serious parts too, considering it's about WWII. I enjoyed it.
I've started getting addicted to late-night crime shows. Those Law and Order reruns just keep going and going. I saw Stephen Colbert on one... he's a pretty good actor. I saw my second episode of CSI too. That, sports, and movies on our new HBO channels are pretty much all I watch on TV. Speaking of sports, that's one reason I've gotten so much reading done. The NBA finals have so much stupid commentary, pre-game crap, post-game crap, long introductions, halftime, and commercials that I just spend all that time reading now. It makes the game go by faster too. That's one thing that bothers me about the world cup... no commercials to take breaks or anything. You basically just lose a 50 minute block of time.
I've got a little more to talk about, but I figure if I keep that in my head for now, I'll be forced to post on here again sooner... I hope.
