So finally getting around to reading The Summer of '42, which is rather amusing. I've seen the movie, but the book is somewhat of a riot; it makes me understand (maybe) the workings of an adolescent male. So far he's just humped pillows and fantasized about some jungle girl, I think it can only get better.
Another sorority sister of mine is getting married this weekend; it's like a craze going on right now. Does everybody have Wedding Fever or am I alone in thinking that we're way too young right now? Some guy in one of my classes, who is my age, told me not to be picky and wait too long or else I'd spend my life alone. When I tried to explain my theory of wanting to wait until I can live on my own successfully, he just said not to put an age limit on it. GAH!
Beau gets his cast taken off hopefully in a week; his orthopedic surgeon said that Beau was one of the fastest healers that he'd seen due to his high red blood cell count. He's now toddling around like a pirate on a bootie that has a rainbow colored stripes. He said that he didn't pick it out, but I am dubious. He is rather excited about the prospect of driving again; he's completely doubtful that it could hurt after the cast comes off. Who knows as he's done so well this far?
Well, the end of the semester is fast approaching; hoorah! Granted, I'll be taking classes all summer long for each session, but I'll have a week long break in between. Yard work ahoy! In yard news, we've planted some new baby trees, and they're now starting to sprout leaves. It's so exciting. I'm usually the one to kill wildlife not grow it.
Class awaits!
