It's been awhile, hasn't it?

WARNING: THIS IS A LONG POST.

I can probably truthfully say that these past few months have literally been the most eventful of my life. The past year certainly has, no doubt about it. It's been full of confusion and sadness, but not all of it has been negative. There has just been a HUGE amount of change, and it's like the longer time goes on, the more change there is in shorter amounts of time. I like change, though. It's helped me mature, anyway. I still have a long way to go, but I'm definitely not the person I was a year ago. But I'll stop being vague and silly and write about actual events now. This sort of thing just helps me get my bearings and decide where to start. =)

I haven't been able to write much for quite some time now, but I'm hoping it'll come back soon. I've been doing my stupid up-and-down, jumping-to-conclusions act that makes me want to smack myself, but hopefully a little talk will end all that forever, and things will be just the way they need to be. They're not bad now, but the business isn't quite finished. Things seem to be improving, for the most part. I've finally moved past the boy I've mentioned several times in other posts, and found another one I've decided I'm probably not compatible with, either. He may go to prom with me as a friend, he may not. Even if I don't get a date, I'm still going. I now have a prom dress. It's green and makes me feel like a mermaid, haha. There have been other troubles, some personal and some that have little to do with relationships and more to do with financial situations. That, and my hair is going to crap, and I wanted to get it dyed black, but my dad disappointed me by refusing because he's "never seen a person with dyed black hair who's been worth his time," and that it "projects a negative image." So basically, he's being stereotypical. LAME.

But now for the exciting part: I'm going to Europe! Italy and Greece. Wednesday after school I'm leaving for Louisville, spending the night there, and getting on a plane Thursday morning! I'll be gone for ten days, and I'm going to keep a journal, so that when I get back I can summarize it all in a blog. =)

I'm not going to go into the details of today, I just wanted a catch-up blog. Comment away, if you'd like.
