Nothing says "USE THIS IDEA" quite like a plot-driven action cop show. I used to watch 24 and The Shield but they focused a lot on the characters and their lives. Flashpoint is a far better deal between tactical aspects of hostage situations and the psychological factor between cops and civilians. That's the selling line. I got hooked to another TV show, Leverage and even though it's very G-rated and nobody ever dies in the stories, I love the characters as they're pleasantly untypical and complex, the actors really shine in every episode.
