i <3 yaoicest

I'm kind of sad, because I finally found out that the random manga I pickded up in Seattle really does exist. Earlier I looked up the author's name, but everything said she had written no such thing. And I had no kanji dictionary so I couldn't read the title. I decided it must be a magical book that had appeared in the store just for me, with magical knowledge that I must unlock from it's pages. I was going to use it to conquer the world.

But I'm a foolish girl who pries too deeply into matters she should not try to understand, so I tried looking up the main character's name. Now I know it is called The Supernatural Power Nanaki, Nanaki being the main character, and that there is a girl in London who has God, yaoicest and pokemon gold listed in her interests that wants to buy it. There is also a pencil board made for it, but I couldn't find any pictures. I was hoping now that I knew the title there might be some translations somewhere to see how bad I did, but I guess that was too much to hope for. I did find some for something else by the author, though. There was a plot description, too:

While being dared to ring the bell of an old abandoned church, Kanata fell down through the ground that had collasped. He finda himself in a room with a large, cross-shaped coffin. Inside the coffin lies a boy dressed in old-fashioned clothes; however, before Kanata could do anything else, the boy awakens and kills Kanata by accident.

The end. Well, there were actually more words after that, but I guess I'm in a weird mood cause even though the guy was obviously going to be brought magically back to life or something, I burst out laughing right when I read it and decided not to read the rest cause I think I like it better this way. I think I've been eating too much red fruitcake.

Someday when I'm bored I may read it. But only if I'm bored enough to not stop reading when the boy dies, just cause you know that's probably the best part. Reading manga in Japanese is best, though, cause when you read something that sounds like a really bad manga plot, you can be happy because that means your translating it right. This manga makes me happy and awful lot. It's the best.

My favorite part was that like the manga Boy bought a couple weeks ago, this is apparently a shoujo manga, despite the complete absence of any female main characters. One girl did ask Nanaki if he wanted to go do karaoke with them, though. He said no.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back through my translation and change all the times I wrote 'psychic' to 'The Supernatural Power,' cause I'm sure you'll all agree that sounds a whole lot better (though I also do like Super Mental Phenomenon Ability Nanaki, which is how it turned out when I ran the words through the dictionary), and also list the book in my interests so that poor Londonese yaoicest girl won't be alone.

EDIT: Only it looks like she left out the second 'r' in supernatural. And I'd feel like I was making fun of her if I spelled it wrong on purpose. Which is silly, since I kinda was making fun of her a little before so I shouldn't feel bad. Only I do, so now I'm alone, too. I'm so sad.

EDITEDIT: You know something else? Neither of the two other mangas that lady wrote looked farmiliar. And I thought the reason I got this one was cause it was buy the same lady that some other book I wanted. I must have been destined to copy down the wrong name so that I would find this one. Maybe there is something magical in it after all. Ooo.
