Grooming question

Being new pug owners, there are certain things that don't seem to be covered in any of the books and I haven't seen it discussed on line. Our 2 pugs (Abby 4 and Max 6) do this "ear cleaning" thing. One will sit real still while the other kinda goes nuts in the others ear. This will go on for oh say 2 minutes, and then they switch to the other ( Read more... )

almost all pugs who lives together cleans each other

Basil (as seen in the icon) loves to take care of fellow puggies, and will carefully, patiently and lovingly clean their ears. The puppy hasn't started it yet and my last pug was too ornery to clean Basil, though I got cleaned quite often.

my boxer and my cat both clean my pug boris's ears. i've always assumed this is because boris has a recurring yeast infection in his ear -- which he is on medicine for, but it always comes back.
