A wagon of sorts

Apr 25, 2010 16:50

I haven't had a hangover in about 4 weekends now I make it, maybe more! And it has been quite splendifurous if I do say so myself.

That doesn't mean I haven't drank, I have. Just not to the excess I can do. But it has been a really good feeling to go out on a Saturday with a plan of some sort, not end up gashed - maybe a good heid on but nowt more - and wake up and be able to enjoy the Sunday as well. I always feel a day of the weekend spent with a hangover is a day wasted. Even though today all I have done is go a 2 hour walk, play my pipes, play Andrew's pipes (he's working so I kept them ticking over), make soup, read the paper and watch some TV. Nothing life changing has been done, but things have been accomplished. It's a nice feeling.

But it can't last, as the busy time for me now starts;

Sat 1st - Piping at big Marco's wedding down Largs (some people will know who I mean) followed by Ruth and Ben's flat warming in Glasgow.
Sat 8th - Going through to Dunbar pipe band competition for a nosey
Sun - 9th - Gourock Highland Games, and the start of my pipe band season *yay*
Sat 15th - Calum's 21st
Fri 21st - Piping at a wedding party (married in Mexico) in the Celtic club at midnight
Sat 22nd - Scottish Championships (Dumbarton)

June
Sat 5th - Shotts highland games
Sat 12th - Bearsden Highland games
Sun 20th - Helensburgh Pipe Band competition
Sat 26th - British Championships (Annan)

So guess who wont be out in Greenock (minus Calum's bday) until July?

:-D
