Ibrahim's Poem

Mar 06, 2006 16:21

I was safe
Stupid.
Mistook dominion for shelter
And embraced my cage.

I was suffocated,
Drowned.
In the best possible way.
My stupidity drank the stale air
Under his heart,
And Asphyxiated.

He was good
At lying,
Though bad at telling lies.
Too pretty to be cruel
Too unique to be arrogant

Stupid assumptions.
They cling to us like limpets of denial
I was naive.
